What is resilience?
Resilience isn’t about bouncing back. Resilience is the ability to adapt in the face of adversity. Our capacity to find strength to deal with, learn from and grow from difficult situations.
When we are faced with difficult situations we can sometimes lose perspective and our common sense gets lost in the noise of doubt and speculation.

What can we do to boost our resilience?
We need to take time to think clearly, to use the resources we have at our disposal to get us through difficult situations.
Set boundaries for yourself and create space to sit back, breathe and think clearly. Use a journal to help capture your thoughts.
How can we boost our resilience?
Take some time out to work through this model. Allow the “common sense voice” a platform to be heard and drown out the “stress voice”.
R eality – what are the facts about this situation?
O ptions – what options do I have? what is within my control?
S trengths – what skills, knowledge & experience do I have to support me through this?
E xternal – what support can I get from others to support me through this?
